Toshokan Sensou 10 ~Going Home, Explosion~

EDIT: This is a repost because issa-sa and ashlynne commented that they couldn't read anything on the second half. Just in case, please let me know if there anything wrong with the post again. Thanks ~biankita

The members of the task forces are on their way to the Ibaraki Library Corps for the Arts Exhibition. Kasahara freaks out because it's the place where she grew up and her parents were living 5km away. There is also a really ugly art work with a uniform of the Media Enchancement Committee in the crucifix position - apprently, it's entitled "Freedom". In the bus, she was even annoying Tezuka with her sighing and begged him to send her back to Tokyo via courier. Then Tezuka got a phone call from Shibasaki about information that there is really something peculiar about Ibaraki Library. It appears that the two of them are exchanging information on a lot of things. He thanked her for and told her that he will tell everyone. Just before hanging up, Shibasaki reminded Tezuka that she still has not received treat that he promised her as payment for the Promotion Exams. When he hung up, he complained but what she actually wanted to say was for him to come back safely.

When they arrived, they were stopped by protestors. Employees of the library who asked them to deposit their weapons and that the Ibaraki Library is a peaceful place where diplomatic relations are paramount over defense. And the Chief Librarian (Suregawa) came, she repeated what the protestor said. Genda and Aoki were outraged at the reception that they received and in a conference with the deputy head, he just said even if Inamine knew it about it, it was not something that would matter because this was Suregawa's turf. When they were getting out of the bus, Tezuka gave everyone a full report on what Shibasaki found out. And since kasahara was the only one who was staying in the female dorm, Dojo told her to report anything funny that was happening - using her mobile phone if needed. (Because he probably left his sneaking-in-the-girls'-dorm outfit in Kantou -_-')

When she got into the dorm, she was greeted by three girls from the Intelligence Department. Kasahara was somewhat famous, being the first woman to be a member of the Task Force. They grabbed her things and threw it down the stairs, saying that they're heavy and it wasn't heavy for Kasahara because she's so GAR. Kasahara was close to losing her temper when two members of the Task Force was came to greet her, apologizing for being late and introduced themselves as Shizuka and Inoue and that they'll help her to the room. Kasahara said that it was ok - that she can do it all by herself - and she wasn't her but the three Intelligence girls who picked the fight. Shizuka just said to bear with it.

Back in the meeting with the Ibaraki Library deputy head, Genda was saying that he doesn't think he wants to defend the enhibition because of the reception that they received. But the deputy head just said that the reason why they're even there was because he had to make a vigorous demand because he believed that people should be able to appreciate art freely so he was depending on them. Genda's cooperation was gained and that promised to make the exhibition a success.

In a briefing with the members of the Task Force, Genda made a speech about Inamine was not aware of the situation in Ibaraki and they would do everything they can to abolish the rule. for now, all the members of the task force will be given a full re-training. But the Ibaraki Library Task Force started whining about the art exhibition being two weeks away and that most of them haven't even shot a gun in years. Genda got pissed and told them to stop being a bunch of whiners.

In the cafeteria, Kasahara was waiting in line weirded out that only members of the Intelligence Department were there. She also heard whispers about her presence there was scary. Then Shizuka came pulled her out and apologized for not informing her that members of the task forces eats and bathes last after the people from the Intelligence Department.

During the training, Genda asked one of his men what he thought of the progress of the Ibaraki task force, he said that they may reach Kasahara's level. Worriedly, Genda asked if it was the level when she first joined. But the guy just said that it would be in her current level to which Genda commented as barely making it. Then he announced that they will be training much harder. Kasahara got pissed at the level of standard that they were working with. During a break, Shizuka asked Kasahara if she lived near here and if she didn't want to see her parents. She shook her head and said that her parents were conservative and would probably ask her to go home if they found out they found out that she was in the Task Force. When the day ended, the girls found their locker room trashed and that she will complain to the library heads, but the girls told him that there was no proof that it was the doing of the Intelligence girls.

After a briefing, Dojo asked her about how things were on her end, she said that everything's great. He just told her not to overexert herself.

But the bullying continued. First, she was locked up in the laundry room. Then a letter telling her to get a clue and leave Mito, that she shouldn't underestimate Ibaraki. That night, she couldn't stand it and started crying even after remembering what Dojo said about taking note of the atmosphere and not to cause any trouble.

The next day, a lot of girls were talking out loud, making fun of her within earshot. She lost it, but instead of creating trouble, she took it out on the wall where she got a really bad bruise. When she came to pick up her laundry, it was trashed. Shizuka and Inoue said that it wasn't them. Kasahara told them that she knew and that they shouldn't be hanging out with her because they would be creating problems for themselves.

That evening, she was going out when Dojo asked her where she was going at that hour of the night. He ended up going to the laundromat with her where he commented that he only meet people like her so he has forgotten the existence of people like the ones in Ibaraki. But Kasahara told him that upon reflection, she would probably be the same as them if she was in the Intelligence girls' position. But he said that he wouldn't because he has been observing her well. Then he noticed the bruise on her hand (the one she used to punch the wall) and asked what it was. She just apologized and said to just treat her how he would normally would. So he patted her head and gave her a hug. She then proceeds to cry.

Back in the library, Inoue was cornered by a bunch of Intelligence girls asking her what else she knew about Kasahara. The next day, her mother showed up and slapped her on the face asking her what the hell was she doing with this kind of work. Kasahara slapped her back saying to disown her and find another daughter. Then Dojo came to stop the two because they were making a scene.

In Genda's office, Kasahara's mother was crying. Outside, Kasahara was also crying telling Dojo that there was no way that she was going to quit and her mother always cried just to make her feel like she's the one at fault. He just told her to calm down asked her to call her father to pick up her mother. But Kasahara said that she didn't want to have another confrontation, but he told her that her father would be alright with it and to stop going around the problem and face it head-on.

When her father got there, Kasahara told them that it was her fault that she kept the truth but she has been working really hard with her work to get where she was right now. Then her father told her mother that it was great that Iku was the first girl to be the first female to be part of the Library Corps and the two were surprised that he knew. Her father said that it was in the magazine and put two and two together. Then her mother just asked him if he had a deathwish for her daughter again like the time he dropped her when she was climbing a boulder behind their home and a bald spot. But all her father could say was that it's all good because she only got three stitches. She cried again that she is very worried about anything happened to her. Then Kasahara told her that she thought that her mother did that because she hated her. But apparently, her mother also thought the same. And they all had a peaceful reconciliation.

Shizuka and Inoue finally confessed to Kasahara everything was a scheme of the Intelligence girls. Kasahara just told them that it was ok and that she was going to show them what an adult confrontation is like. In the cafeteria, Kasahara declared an indirect war with the Intelligence girls. Saying that she knew everyone who was involved with the things that happened to her and she was going to ignore that but she's at her limit and told them that if anything happens to interfere with the Task Force again, she will be writing a full report which will be sent directly to the Kantou Library Base where their evaluations are being done as they know.

In the laundry room, the Intelligence girls announced that members of the Task Force can now use the facilities as freely as they wanted. Kasahara lost her temper at their lousy excuse of an apology but Shizuka stopped her and was the one to talk to the girls saying that they only want equality and had no time to accept their apology because they're busy with their training..In Suregawa's office, Genda confronted her of what happened saying that when the exhibition is over, he will have her own up to the responsibility when Inamine was informed of it. But the Media Enhancement Committee were already heading their way to Ibaraki.

Whew! That was a long post. This is the drawback of working with a sub script and not a sub episode. But then again, with the just raw and the little Japanese I know (alongside usagijen's and issa-sa's post to fill in my language gaps), I got it. I really needed the script to give a proper summary. I'm a looooooooooooooooooooong way to full understanding a raw, but I'm glad I didn't spend 3K like Aisee to lessons she's skipping and still coming up short when watching subs.

The Ibaraki Library Corps is a terrible workplace! The Kantou Corps people are funner and the environment is more conducive for working. Peace-loving my ass. If they were peace-loving and into diplomatic relations over the warfare, they wouldn't be treating other members of their workforce that badly. I hope them three bitches will be part of the military casualities for the upcoming battle. I love how their conflict didn't end with everyone making up and hugs going around. That would just be so sad, especially how these girls have been treating the Task Force - with next week's previews, who would those bitches be hiding behind now. They give Shibasaki a bad name. It's sad that on the next episode, these bunch of pansies and couple of buses of people from Kantou will be defending it.

Rabu-rabu mode on the KasaDojo moment. I love how he's the type of guy who knows how strong Kasahara is and only offers emotional support with enough faith that his woman will be able to stand up for herself. But it would seem that they got the rabu-rabu episodes behind them... and this was a mere bone thrown at the fangirls (me, her and her). But as issa-sa said, "we are such easily satisfied shippers." But yay to bones and more moments like this for the remainder of the season!!!
